Figure of a Mountain
Inspired by my fascination with the natural world and our relationship with it, Figure of a Mountain merges figurative form with undulating, abstract landscape. Each changing view reveals new shapes and shadows, while carved markings offer a quiet reminder of human presence in the natural world.
I built this piece from cardboard and layered paper clay, the surface is sanded smooth yet retains subtle stains and imperfections, giving it a timeworn quality reminiscent of weathered stone or sculpted landforms.
