Earth & Sky

Inspired by a love for horses and their rich historical symbolism, this sculpture echoes the iconic forms of Tang ceramics while celebrating the animal's inherent spirit. The bowed head and uplifting stance convey a deep resilience, capturing a quiet yet profound sense of strength. Developed intuitively layer by layer using repurposed cardboard and wood, the structure evolved organically into its own unique character.

The final surface is refined with papier-mâché and layers of custom-made paper clay, contrasting raw, textured detailing with a polished smoothness to create a natural, stone-like quality with a subtle industrial edge.
