Rachel Owen is a multidisciplinary artist based in Liverpool. Born in North Wales in 1969 she studied Public Art at Chelsea College of Art (BA Hons) and Fine Art (PGDip) at St Martins, Byam Shaw, London.

Rachels work blends figurative and abstract forms as she explores the symbiotic relationship with humans and the natural world and the need for connection to those living beings and wild environments that inspire us. The presence of the horse and its mythologies influence much of her work.
